  Great messages and warm feeling

  My wife and I attended the Sunday evening 5pm youth Mass. There was a visiting priest, Fr. Albert from Michigan. He delivered an epic homily! The parishioners were kind and welcoming. The murals outside and the Jesus mural above the altar were beautiful. We will be back next time we are in town!

  Every year we attend Sacred Heart weekly. We are from Canada and we want to clone Father Jerry. Attending Mass here motivates to be better, kinder people. We look forward to and are inspired when we leave.

  Priest sent by parish for member's memorial service (my parent) DID NOT SHOW UP - 40-50 minutes later, he did with no explanation or apology.. Subsequent contact with pastor where he primarily suggested I be more understanding of elderly priest's memory loss issues. Really not acceptable. I had to explain that an apology that starts with "I'm sorry...but" really is not much of an apology. Very sad.

  My husband and I stopped at this church when we visited Punta Gorda during our honeymoon. The parishioners seemed welcoming and kind. There is a giant image of Jesus above the altar unlike any other design in a church I have seen before.
  
  The "youth Mass" wasn't exactly what we were expecting- we were hoping it was more like the Life Teen Masses we go to at home, but it was a beautiful service with some younger children involved in the choir which was interesting to see.
  
  Beautiful parish, beautiful murals. We had a retired/visiting priest (Fr. Arthur from Michigan, I believe) and his homily was FANTASTIC. One of the best I've ever heard. Afterwards, we went out to dinner at Captain's Table and our waiter spoke very highly of Father Jerry although we didn't get to meet him. Definitely attend Mass if you are in the area!!
